I have another theory about how the world (really) works!
So this one is about Ms. Spring who got chatted and carried away by coffee, yummy pastry and great company and completely forgot to turn up to UK. She’s still there enjoying her cup of whatever it is and we (humans) are enjoying another month of rain and cold*ish weather. Thank you!
Lots of love.
P.S. Are we allowed to wear wellington boots to the theatre? It’s yucky outside. >.<

Hello lovelies!

Meet my new friend Mr. Gocco!

I had a pleasure of trying it out yesterday for the first time! And it was beautiful!

I was stressed and palms of my hands sweating. As before buying gocco I was dreaming about it for a long time. I anticipated it so much. However I wasn’t sure if that will suit my needs and how exactly it works and what will happen.

After looking through many youtube tutorials (some awesome and some super cool!) studying gocco manual and researching all the steps (nearly memorising all of them, ha-ha) I’ve went for it. And of course asked Max to take pictures of this memorable momentum. Thank you so much!

So it all turned out to be super exciting!

First step is to draw the image with carbon pen, went for quite delicate pattern to see what kind of thing I can draw/print with gocco.

Second step is to burn the screen which is quite easy if follow all the instructions. And of course if bulbs are working and if screen is fine. I was lucky and it all worked! FLASH and screen is done.)

Third, remove screen and make little adjustments, put the paint in-between the screen and protective plastic. Which by the way makes the whole thing so clean and tidy! It’s amazing! So japanese, all well thought!

Fourth, print print print print print!

I couldn’t stop experimenting. Printing on different paper, trying different sizes and creating some envelopes for freshly baked greeting cards.

Experimenting, cleaning, changing, printing,)

Lots of cleaning done and unfortunately I ruined the screen by excessive cleaning (used even oil as gocco cleaner is nearly empty).

So in the end there are two styles of cards: red on white textured card and double printed white on brown and then red over it + lots of matching envelopes.

I just couldn’t stop printing. It’s incredibly exciting and I enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward my next gocco*ing (still will be little scared of ruining screens and bulbs.. but hey! That’s the creative process!)

Even though the supplies are pricy the experience is unforgettable.

Bought gocco from lovely Melanie from craftyjapan. Great help, very quick shipment and I think very good prices.

More pictures of gocco outcome can be viewed at my etsy shop. CLICK HERE! YAY

And don’t forget. It’s so easy to use that even shiba inu puppies can do it!

0:34 is a proof of that!

Lots of love and good vibrations to you people. Weekend is nearly there!

YEAHHHHHHH!!!
Little peek at my first attempt at printing with GOCCO.
Super lovely amazing and fabulously awesome GOCCO! Couldn’t stop!
Can’t wait to get my hands on another screen, another print.. and let’s experiment!
This time I went for a pattern with lots of details to see how printer works.
Well anyway.. will be posting full review and lots of pictures of process and result later in the week.
And now off to bed! Nighty night peeps!

Good Morning lovelies!

Max painted our living room during long bank holiday weekend (a lot of work though) and now it’s lovely, light and simply fabulous (thank you!).

I offered my mite by painting frames and putting some washi paper (from super duper uguisu shop) inside with our pics.)

Yay! Frames are covered with gloss varnish so they are rather glamorous. And by the way washi scrap pack from uguisu is absolutely gorgeous!)

Have a nice Tuesday! ^_^

Yesterday I was lucky to witness London Tweed Run!

So many beautiful people, gorgeous bikes and perfect moustaches (do not forget dogs dressed in tweed) that is including Graham Coxon (dressed from Cordings - temple of tweed, he-he). Spectacular and absolutely must see!

Meet the swan brooch! Made to order with handwritten initials on the back of the brooch (which you can’t see of course but believe me they are there!).
Original idea for the brooch was a lady playing chello while flying in the night sky above the city lights. I thought that I would have to make a brooch as big as a plate but the customer changed his mind to a swan (and I was happy!).
And now, good night lovelies and have a nice bank holiday weekend!
